Knyhy-XXI.
Annotation: Drawing on a wide range of archival sources, published journalism, and scholarly literature, this monograph offers a typological analysis of the development of women’s movement ideology in the Western Ukrainian lands during the nineteenth and first third of the twentieth century, and examines the European context of the evolutionary transformation of the idea of women’s emancipation into a structured feminist ideology. Particular attention is paid to the defining discourses of Western Ukrainian feminist ideology, including the distinctive features of liberal, socialist (social-democratic), and social-Christian (conservative) feminism.
The volume is intended for specialists in Ukrainian history and researchers of Central and Eastern European history.
