At the UARWH General Assembly held on April 10, 2026, the following leadership was elected:
Board Members:
The governing bodies of UARWH are the General Assembly of members and the Board of the Association. UARWH is headed by the President, who serves ex officio as the Chair of the Board.
The General Assembly convenes annually and is considered quorate if a majority of the Association’s members are present. The exclusive competence of the General Assembly includes the following matters:
- Determining the main areas of the Association’s activity, approving its plans and reports on their implementation.
- Introducing and approving amendments to UARWH’s founding documents.
- Deciding on the dissolution of the Association.
- Electing and dismissing the Board or individual Board members.
- Electing and dismissing the President.
- Establishing the procedures and methods for exercising property rights and overseeing their implementation.
- Granting honorary membership in the Association.
The Board is the governing body of UARWH between General Assemblies. The Board consists of five members: the President, the Vice President, and three Board Members, who divide current responsibilities among themselves. The Board is elected by the General Assembly for a term of two years.
The Board performs the following functions in managing UARWH’s ongoing organizational activities:
- Implements the decisions of the General Assembly.
- Convenes the General Assembly, sets its agenda, prepares materials on agenda items, and drafts resolutions.
- Develops and submits recommendations to the General Assembly regarding the main areas of the Association’s activity, plans and reports on their implementation, and other proposals related to the Association’s work.
- Formulates the Association’s current activity plans and identifies the measures necessary for their implementation.
- Prepares and submits for the General Assembly’s review and approval the annual reports on the Association’s activities, including reports on the procurement and use of the Association’s funds and property, and reports on the implementation of the Association’s projects.
The President of UARWH is elected and dismissed by the General Assembly once every two years. The President carries out her duties on a voluntary basis, pro bono. The President:
- Acts on behalf of the Association and represents it in relations with other institutions, partners, and the state.
- Handles the day-to-day administration and overall management of the Association’s activities.
- Organizes and coordinates the work of the Board.
- Resolves matters related to the Association’s activities in accordance with its mission and main areas of activity, as falling within the President’s competence under the UARWH Charter.
- Reports on her work and the work of the Board to the General Assembly.
The Vice President assists in managing the Association, participates in organizing the work of the Board and in preparing the General Assembly, in developing activity plans, and in preparing reports on UARWH’s work. The Vice President assumes the President’s duties in case of illness, research travel, leave, or other temporary inability to perform her functions (by executive order).
